Sean Combs' children show united support for him
The progeny of beleaguered tycoon Sean "Diddy" Combs have publicly rallied around him amid his legal tribulations. Quincy Brown, aged 33, alongside his kin—Justin, 30, Christian, 26, Chance, 18, and the 17-year-old twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs—conveyed a joint declaration and a photograph on social media. In the image, their two-year-old sister, Love, her mother Dana Tran, their paternal grandmother Janice Combs, and their father also appear.
"Our family has been shattered over the last month. Society has hastily judged him, and us, through baseless accusations, conspiracy theories, and fabrications that have spiraled into the absurd on social platforms," the caption stated. "We stand unwaveringly by your side at every juncture. We cling to the truth, confident it will emerge triumphant, and nothing will fracture our family's resilience. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD."
This expression of solidarity follows the filing of seven new lawsuits against Sean Combs, two of which involve accusers who allege they were minors when purportedly drugged and assaulted by him. More than twenty lawsuits have been filed against Combs, who now finds himself in federal detention as he awaits trial on an indictment in the Southern District of New York, facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution purposes. He maintains his innocence.
Accusations against the mogul have intensified since November 2023, when his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, initiated legal action, citing years of harrowing abuse allegations. Combs refuted the claims initially and swiftly reached a settlement with Ventura, though specifics remain undisclosed.
In May, CNN unveiled a 2016 surveillance clip showing Combs physically assaulting Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel, substantiating an incident outlined in her lawsuit. "I was appalled then. I'm appalled now. I sought professional aid, embraced therapy, and entered rehab," Combs confessed in a video shared online shortly after the footage aired. "I implored divine mercy and grace. I am sincerely remorseful. But my commitment remains to improve daily. I seek no forgiveness. I am genuinely contrite."
His children's recent demonstration of support is not unprecedented. Brown, Christian Combs, and the twins, who share the late Kim Porter as their mother, earlier denounced "Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, from the Other Side," a self-published bestseller on Amazon, purportedly Porter's memoir. "We've witnessed numerous hurtful and false rumors about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs, as well as our mom's tragic demise, prompting us to speak out," they remarked. "Claims of our mom authoring a book are entirely false. She did not."
Combs and Porter were romantically involved intermittently from 1994 to 2007, during which their son and twin daughters were born. Combs also helped rear Brown, Porter's son with singer Al B. Sure. Porter passed away in 2018 at 47, with pneumonia cited as the cause. She was among the women with whom Combs forged a family.
Justin Combs' mother is renowned stylist Misa Hylton, Chance Combs' mother is entrepreneur Sarah Chapman, and Love Combs was born to Dana Tran, reportedly a cybersecurity specialist.
