Martha Stewart shares a hilarious reason for skipping out on 'The Golden Bachelorette'
Martha Stewart may sizzle in the culinary realm, but she isn't keen on igniting a romance on a reality dating show. During a recent chat with her friend and the ever-cool Snoop Dogg on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," the conversation veered towards the ABC show "The Golden Bachelorette" and whether Stewart might consider joining.
Her response was crystal clear: "Absolutely not."
Host Cohen then probed if a hefty sum—say $1 million or even $10 million—could persuade her to let a group of mature gentlemen compete for her affection. Stewart, the domestic maven, replied that "the guys aren’t hot enough."
This prompted a chuckle from Snoop. "So it ain't about the money, it's about how hot the guys are," he quipped. "She said, $10 million can't sway her if the guy ain’t looking right."
Stewart's romantic life has often been a topic of interest. In 2022, while engaging in a playful segment with Drew Barrymore on her talk show, Stewart was tasked with waving flags—green for yes, red for no, and yellow for undecided—responding to a series of dating scenarios.
Asked if she'd date someone as tattooed as "SNL" alum Pete Davidson, she waved the green flag. And what about Davidson himself? Another green flag. Barrymore noted the online buzz hoping Stewart, then 81, would pair up with Davidson, 28.
"He's dated a lot of women," Stewart remarked. "Not saying that's bad. I think that's good. And he's kind of cute."
Stewart was married to Andrew "Andy" Stewart from 1961 until 1990, and they have a daughter together. In the preview for her new Netflix documentary, she offers advice to young women: "If you're married and your husband cheats, he's a piece of st. Exit that marriage."
When asked about having an affair early on, Stewart candidly replied, "Yeah, but I don't think Andy ever knew that.
