In an amusing clip shared on her official Instagram this past Wednesday, Carey is featured aboard what seems to be a private jet, as the opening chords of her legendary track “All I Want For Christmas Is You” start playing. Shortly after, a “captain’s” voice greets her and announces their destination as the North Pole.

“Not yet,” Carey warbles in a melodic tone. “Apologies!”

The diva then quips, “They’re always in such a hurry.”

Carey has a tradition of heralding the festive season immediately after Halloween, and in this instance, she humorously highlights the trend of ever-earlier holiday preparations.

Her 1994 smash hit and her boundless holiday spirit have earned her the moniker “Queen of Christmas,” a designation she proudly accepts, though her attempt to trademark it fell short some years back.
