Eminem is embracing a fresh chapter in his existence: that of a grandfather. The iconic rapper revealed through a vibrant new music video for his track "Temporary," featuring Skylar Grey, that his daughter, Hailie Jade, aged 28, is anticipating the arrival of her first child. In a poignant scene from the video, Jade—who is also a musician and podcaster—presents her father with a blue shirt emblazoned with "Grandpa" on the back. Eminem, visibly astonished, clutches a sonogram image while Jade beams and chuckles at his bewildered reaction.
The video artfully weaves together snippets of nostalgic home videos capturing Jade's childhood alongside Eminem, interspersed with clips from her recent nuptials to Evan McClintock. Eminem dedicates the heartfelt song to Jade, delivering verses that resonate with life's cyclical nature: "So Hailie Jade, I wrote this song to help you cope with life when I’m gone."
