Dave Coulier Reveals New Shaved Look, Thanks to a Little Help from John Stamos
As Dave Coulier navigates his cancer journey, he finds solace in the unwavering support of his friend John Stamos. Coulier unveiled his freshly shaved head in a picture shared on his "Fuller House" co-star's Instagram on Monday, shortly after revealing his recent stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis, a challenging blood cancer.
In one image, both Coulier and Stamos are seen beaming, their heads shaved. Stamos humorously noted in the caption that he donned a bald cap to express love and camaraderie with his friend. Another photo captures Stamos wielding the shaver, assisting Coulier in buzzing his hair. A tender moment follows, with Stamos and Coulier's wife, Melissa, gently kissing his head.
"You’re facing this with immense fortitude and optimism—truly inspiring," Stamos penned in the caption. "I have no doubt you’ll overcome this, and I’m honored to stand by your side every step. Love you dearly."
Coulier, cherished for his role as Uncle Joey on the ‘90s sitcom “Full House” and its 2016 continuation “Fuller House,” disclosed his cancer battle publicly last week, having been diagnosed roughly five weeks prior.
"During this time, I’ve undergone three surgeries, endured chemotherapy, and lost some hair," he recounted, touching his head during a conversation with NBC. "It's been quite the tumultuous journey."
Coulier mentioned he preemptively shaved his head, anticipating the inevitable hair loss accompanying his treatment.
He humorously noted that with less hair, his hockey helmet now fits more snugly. "I’m sleeker on the ice," he jested, chuckling.
