Ariana Grande seeks to clarify a few matters before taking the stage as host of "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. In a comical new promotional clip released on Wednesday, the "Yes, And?" vocalist humorously informs a cluster of "SNL" performers that she’d prefer to avoid any sketches related to "Wicked" or "The Wizard of Oz." The camera shifts to "SNL" cast members Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow, Marcello Hernández, and Andrew Dismukes, lounging on a couch in costumes of the Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man, characters renowned from "The Wizard of Oz."

After a comedic pause, Dismukes contemplatively considers Grande's request and asks, "May we return in one hour?" Without losing her comedic timing, the Grammy-award winner amiably agrees, "Sure." Grande is set to portray Glinda in next month's "Wicked," the film adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway musical and its originating novel. She made her "SNL" debut as a musical guest in 2014 and again in 2024, doubling as both host and musical guest in March 2016. This episode, she will be accompanied by musical guest Stevie Nicks. "Saturday Night Live" broadcasts on NBC on Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT.
